Job Title: Senior Care Assistant (Nights)
Location: Rastrick Hall & Grange, Close Lea Avenue, Rastrick
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time 38.5hrs per week, including alternative weekends
Salary: £13.75ph

Responsibilities
* Ensure the highest possible levels of care by supporting/assisting residents with all aspects of daily living.
* Support training and supervision of junior and new staff members under the supervision of senior staff.
* Assist residents in all aspects of their care needs (physical, emotional, spiritual) while maintaining comfort and dignity.
* Assist residents with limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, utilizing aids provided.
* Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural problems.
* Assist in the promotion of continence.
* Assist in the delivery of care for residents who are dying or have progressive illnesses, and assist with last offices.
* Complete, observe, and review care planning, and maintain written daily records per company policies.
* Support social activities by engaging with residents and facilitating hobbies and activities in the home.
* Answer nurse call system, assist as required, answer the door and telephone appropriately, pass on messages promptly.
* Report on residents’ well-being and liaise with GPs and Support Managers as needed.
Qualifications
* Warm, approachable, and positive demeanor
* Organised, reliable, and confident in leading a team
* Creative, enthusiastic, and able to motivate others
* Passionate about improving the lives of older people
* Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends
* Previous experience in a similar role
* NVQ Level 3 (or willing to work towards this)
