As the Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Director and take responsibility for supporting the month-end management accounts, transactional processing in multiple currencies, bank reconciliations, and credit control. What will the Assistant Accountant role involve? Preparation of monthly accounts for review, including accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and journals. All aspects of purchase ledger processing in GBP, USD and EUR, reconciling statements and making payments. Raising of sales ledger invoices, copy invoices and credit notes. Chasing outstanding payments and allocating payments. Multiple bank reconciliations for 8 accounts. Preparation of VAT returns. Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy: Self-starter, with good initiative and able to prioritise workloads. Efficient and meticulous in organisational skills.
