Residential Support Worker - Children's Home
Pay: £13.40 per hour
Location: Bristol
Role Summary
* Provide practical, emotional and behavioural support to young people.
* Act as a positive role model and build warm, trusting relationships.
* Follow care plans, update records and contribute to reviews and meetings.
* Support daily routines including cooking, cleaning and household tasks.
* Help young people develop confidence, self‑control and life skills.
* Offer 1:1 support, advocacy and guidance during times of stress or difficulty.
* Encourage education, activities, community involvement and healthy routines.
* Work collaboratively within the staff team and attend team meetings.
* Maintain safeguarding, equal opportunities and professional standards at all times.
Requirements
* Ability to work shifts including early/late shifts, weekends, sleep‑ins and on‑call.
* Willingness to adapt to rota changes when required.
* Full participation in training, supervision and team development.
* Ability to drive company vehicles (if licence held).
* Enhanced DBS required.
General Duties
* Keep accurate written records and financial logs.
* Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
* Follow all policies, procedures, health & safety and safeguarding guidelines.
* Engage with external agencies and support services when needed.
