To ensure that all referrals received are correctly logged and administered on the Trust Patient Administration system (PAS). To ensure that Fast Track referrals are Partially Booked correctly to enable referrals to be electronically transferred to the Somerset Cancer Registry (SCR) To ensure that all referrals are managed in accordance with ESHT procedures and Cancer Waiting Times Guidance. Referrals are processed and passed to the relevant consultant within the allocated time scale To ensure that every USC referral or Straight to Test request is made within the national waiting time. To offer suitable appointment times based on the information received. To be able to understand clinical booking instructions. Follow the relevant clinic protocols and booking rules while considering the needs of the patient. To escalate to Service Managers or Clinicians when additional capacity is required to meet the demands of high volume of referrals or when patients are not able to be dated within the appropriate timeframe. To ensure that all paperwork pertaining to a patient's referral into a clinic is filed appropriately pending their appointment.
