Project Controls Technician Level 3 Apprentice - Reading, Berkshire, RG1 8DBContract: PermanentSalary: 22,500 per annumStart your Project Controls Technician career with Thames WaterKickstart your future as a Project Controls Technician Apprentice, supporting the UKs largest water and wastewater provider. Youll gain handson experience maintaining accurate project data and learn how major capital projects are planned, tracked, and delivered.What youll do as a Project Controls Technician Level 3 ApprenticeRotate across key PMO teams to learn reporting, planning, and project controls.Maintainaccuratecost, schedule, and performance data in systems like SAP.Support planners building and updating project schedules.Help Reporting Analysts create clear performance reports.Assure contractor data, checking cost and milestone accuracy.Gather and share project data with the delivery teams and management.Join review meetings to validate VOWD, forecasts, and highlight performance trends.Help keep a 12bn capital programme on track through reliable baselines and insights.Where you will work:Location: Clearwater Court Reading RG1 8DBHours:36 hours a week across four working days plus oneoff-the-job training dayStart date: Sept 2026Training and qualification:Youllstudy withLondon Metropolitan College,one of the UKs leading project controls training providers.Your trainingis deliveredvirtually throughbi-weekly workshops, plus added enrichment days either in person in central London or online.Qualification:Project Controls Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard- ECITB Level3 DiplomaDuration: Permanent contract with 28 months a structured programme.What you should bring to the role:Has 5GCSE Maths and English (grade 9-4 / A-C)Good organisational skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.Good IT skills, including MS Office, and some admin knowledge would be ideal.Is passionate about learning and aligned with Thames Waters goals for the future.Whats in it for you?Excellent salary:22,500 per annumAnnual Leave: 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)Performance-related pay plandirectly linkedto company performance measures and targetsGenerous Pension Scheme through AONAccess to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your familys health and wellbeing, and your finances from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shoppingvouchersand life assurance.Find out more about our benefits and perks (Please note different T&Cs apply if on secondment)Who are we?Were the UKs largest water and wastewater company, with more than 16 million customers relying on us every day to supply water for their taps and toilets.
