We’re working with a well-established public sector organisation delivering critical services across the local community. They’re looking for a Procurement Officer on an 18-month fixed-term contract to support a broad range of sourcing and contract management activity.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to end-to-end procurement, support key projects, and work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments.
What you’ll be doing:
• Running procurement exercises in line with public sector regulations
• Supporting tender processes and larger-scale procurement projects
• Managing a portfolio of small to medium value contracts
• Acting as a key contact for internal stakeholders on procurement queries
• Monitoring budgets and reporting on spend
• Maintaining procurement and finance systems, ensuring data accuracy
• Supporting contract management from initiation through to award
• Deputising for senior team members when required
What they’re looking for:
• Experience in public sector procurement
• Working towards or completed CIPS Level 4
• Background in contract and budget management
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Comfortable working with data, reports, and Microsoft Office tools
• Full UK driving licence
