Location: Bristol
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
At Mitie, our purpose is simple: we use our expertise, care, technology and insight to create amazing workplaces where our customers — and their people — can be exceptional every single day.
We're proud of our culture, built on integrity, teamwork and a commitment to going the extra mile. Our diverse perspectives make us stronger, and our customers remain at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of Soft and Hard FM services across a diverse portfolio of Tier 1–4 offices and branches. You'll ensure buildings are safe, compliant and running smoothly while building strong relationships and driving a best‑in‑class experience for everyone who uses the space.
Reporting to the IFM Regional Facilities Manager, you'll work closely with teams across Operational Excellence, Engineering, Performance and Projects to ensure consistent, resilient and high‑quality service delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll own the FM performance across your sites, managing suppliers, overseeing building standards and driving continuous improvement. Expect a hands‑on, varied role where no two days look the same.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing day‑to‑day delivery of FM services across multiple office tiers and branches
2. Conducting regular building inspections to ensure spaces are safe, compliant and fit for purpose
3. Managing 3rd‑party suppliers and ensuring zero compliance failures
4. Working closely with stakeholders to prevent escalations and support operational needs
5. Overseeing budgets of £1m+ and contributing to business cases, planning and reporting
6. Supporting property integration activity, risk management and incident resolution
7. Ensuring KPIs, SLAs, audits and governance processes are met across your sites
What You'll Bring
You're proactive, organised and commercially sharp, with strong experience in FM operations and compliance. You know how to build relationships, influence stakeholders and lead teams in a matrix environment.
We're looking for someone who brings:
8. Excellent customer service and communication skills
9. Strong commercial awareness and ability to present sound business cases
10. A solid understanding of FM delivery and regulatory requirements
11. Confidence working collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplines
12. Strong IT skills and an ability to stay on top of reporting, planning and performance measures
13. IOSH Certification
