Industrial Cleaner £12.21 per hour 4 on 4 off Join a Leading Facilities Management Service Provider – Industrial Cleaner Winner Recruitment is working in partnership with a reputable and well-established service provider that is expanding its team. We are seeking a skilled and reliable industrial cleaner to perform post duties across a single site in Birmingham. Role Overview: The role involves cleaning production equipment such as belts, pipework, conveyors, and maintaining hygiene in washrooms and general work areas. This position is essential to ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitise industrial equipment including production belts, conveyors, and associated pipework. Perform routine and deep cleaning of washrooms and staff facilities. Safely dismantle and reassemble basic machine parts (where required) for effective cleaning. Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines. Remove waste and ensure correct disposal procedures are followed. Complete cleaning schedules and documentation accurately. Work to high hygiene standards to support food safety / manufacturing compliance (if applicable). Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards. Follow all health & safety, COSHH, and site-specific procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Skills & Competencies Strong organisational and time-management skills. Attention to detail with the ability to handle high volumes of mail accurately. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic IT skills, including use of email and postal/courier software (desirable). Physically able to lift and move parcels in line with manual handling guidelines. Experience & Requirements Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred (not essential—training provided). Understanding of safe working practices, including COSHH and PPE usage. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards. Physically fit and able to work in environments that may require bending, lifting, or standing for long periods. Flexible approach to shift patterns, including nights or weekends if required.
