Job Title: Painting Inspector (Touch-Ups & Repairs)
Location: Isle of Grain
Contract Length: 4-6weeks (initial)
Hours: 50-60 hours per week
Rate: £300.00 per day (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)
Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified Painting Inspector to support an industrial project on the Isle of Grain. This role will focus on overseeing touch-up and repair painting work, ensuring all coatings meet the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and verify touch-up and repair works on structural steel and other industrial surfaces
* Ensure all coating applications comply with project specifications, industry standards, and health & safety requirements
* Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections as required
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and findings
* Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and QA teams to ensure corrective actions are completed to a high standard
* Ensure work is carried out in a safe and professional manner
Requirements:
* Valid certification in one of the following: NACE Level 2 or 3, ICorr Level 2 or 3, or FROSIO Level III
* Previous experience in a painting/coatings inspection role within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
* Strong understanding of coating systems, surface preparation, and inspection techniques
* Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and documentation
* Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
