ROLE: Air Hygiene Operative
HOURS: 40 Hours
LOCATION: Gravesend (Mobile)

We're looking for an Air Hygiene Operative who will support the delivery of ventilation, ductwork cleaning and air hygiene services across a variety of sites.
Role Responsibilities
1. Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease.
2. Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19.
3. Install access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW.
4. Inspect fire dampers in accordance with BS.
5. Conduct regular inspections of physical plant equipment as instructed.
6. Follow a preventative maintenance programme.
7. Recommend major repairs where needed.
8. Maintain personal equipment and chemical inventory levels.
9. Ensure service sheets are submitted prior to leaving site.
10. Complete and submit a pre‑work risk assessment for every job.
11. Carry out all scheduled works as instructed.
12. Follow method statements at all times.
13. Ensure safe working practices in line with RAMS.
14. Maintain accurate records.
15. Comply with site rules and communicate professionally with on‑site contacts, ensuring methods and results are explained before leaving site.
16. Leave work areas clean and tidy.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements for the role:
17. Basic air hygiene knowledge.
18. Ability to operate and maintain ventilation systems.
19. A recognised qualification is desirable but not essential.
20. Strong teamwork skills.
21. Client service skills and professionalism.
22. Good personal administration and organisational abilities.
23. Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
24. Literacy skills, including the ability to read technical manuals.
25. Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
26. Strong time‑management skills.
27. Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Management policy requirements.
28. Compliance with Environmental Management System Policy requirements.
Proficient knowledge required in:
29. Ventilation systems management in line with TR19 Grease.
30. Ventilation cleaning techniques in line with TR19.
31. Fire damper testing and reporting in accordance with BS.
32. Access door installation in accordance with DW.
Personal Attributes
33. Excellent timekeeping.
34. Demonstrates sound work ethics.
35. Respectful, with cultural awareness.
36. Valid UK driving licence.
37. Compliant with DBS and security checks as required.
