Aspiring Psychologist - Mental Health Assistant
An amazing school in Reading is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team. The school caters for students with a primary need of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and multiple co-existing needs, including communication, behavioural, social, emotional and mental health challenges. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience working with a range of needs across a variety of ages.
Responsibilities
Support students 1‑to‑1 in the classroom, providing hands‑on assistance and implementing their individualised intervention plans. Deliver consistent, ongoing support to ensure high‑quality, child‑centred care.
Desired Qualities
Patient, kind, and passionate about education and mental health. Willingness to make a difference and support students daily.
Qualifications
Background in psychology or education preferred. A strong interest in mental health and a desire to gain clinical experience are valuable.
