Norfolk Wildlife Trust (NWT) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Communications and Engagement Officer to support the development phase of a project to deliver an inspiring future vision for Hickling Broad and Marshes.
The ideal candidate will develop and implement a communications plan for the project and act as a central point of contact between NWT and project stakeholders. They will lead on engagement activity with local communities and ensure that local ideas and concerns are fed into the project development.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement a communications plan for the project
* Act as central point of contact between NWT and project stakeholders
* Lead engagement activity with local communities
* Ensure local ideas and concerns are integrated into the project development
* Deliver a range of communications, including engaging content for various media
Qualifications and experience
* Experience of community consultation and audience development
* Good track record of delivering a range of communications and developing engaging content for a variety of media
* Proven relationship‑building skills with local stakeholders, interest groups, and communities
* Passion for making a positive impact on Norfolk’s wildlife and an understanding of the ecological context of the Broads
There is potential for this role to be extended into the delivery phase of the project subject to the successful outcomes of the development phase.
