Job Description

As an experienced Oracle EPM Systems Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our financial planning systems operate effectively, enabling our teams to focus on delivering services that support our residents.

Working Style

At RBKC we are proud to support hybrid working. You’ll be based in the Borough for 3 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you’re working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents’ lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work closely with the Financial Reporting and Compliance Officer to manage and maintain our Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system as a Service Administrator, focusing on Planning, Workforce, and Narrative Reporting modules.

A key part of your role will be coordinating with the Oracle Finance Help Desk to action EPM service request tickets for changes to user access and permissions via the Oracle OCI console.

You’ll handle tasks like updating master data sets, valid intersection rules, navigation flows, calculation rules, and groovy scripts within the EPM system to ensure business processes do not fail, and monitoring integrations with ERP/HCM systems.

You’ll take the lead on roadmap development for the application including expansion into other modules including Strategic Modelling and Enterprise Data Management.

You’ll be involved in testing Oracle release updates and creating Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) content, for which training will be provided, and troubleshooting and resolving system issues with the central systems admin team.

You will maintain system process maps, key user guides and the EPM pages on the K&C Finance Hub, supporting Financial Strategy and Finance Business Partnering Teams in delivering training to Cost Centre Managers.

For further details, please review the Job Description and Person Specification

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be AAT qualified or have equivalent experience, with demonstrable system admin expertise.

You’ll have proven experience with Oracle EPM systems administration and the understanding needed to support the associated financial and strategic business processes.

You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills allowing you to interact independently with business users at all levels of the organisation and work collaboratively with other systems admin and helpdesk officers.

Most of all, you’re committed to public service and have a desire for continuous improvement and automation to deliver the best value possible to support our residents and communities.

Why join us

At RBKC, we’re all in – investing in our people, our communities and our future.

You’ll join a forward-thinking, highly respected finance team at the centre of the Council’s drive for data automation and improvement. We’re modernising how we manage our finances and you’ll be part of that change.

This is a chance to lead the development of Oracle EPM, support smarter reporting, and work on projects that reach across the organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across Oracle EPM and Oracle Fusion including creating OGL content and get in at the start of the journey as we look to further develop our EPM system with Strategic Modelling, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting, Profitability and Cost Management, and other modules.

It’s a role that offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to make a real impact on how we use our core systems to support our residents.
