Hiring: Support & Engineering Manager

My client have been helping businesses across Yorkshire and the UK stay connected for over 40 years — delivering first-class telecoms, IT, and workplace infrastructure solutions.
They are looking for a hands-on leader to head up our technical support and engineering teams.
This isn’t just about managing — it’s about rolling up your sleeves, leading from the front, and making sure their customers get the very best service, every single day.
What you’ll do:
* Lead and develop a talented team of support desk and field engineers
* Be the senior point of contact for critical incidents and escalations
* Maintain high technical standards across IT, networking, security, VoIP & more
* Drive security best practices and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
* Balance leadership with hands-on technical problem-solving
What they are looking for:
* Experience managing technical teams in an MSP or fast-paced IT environment
* Strong technical understanding across infrastructure, networking, security & telephony
* Calm under pressure, people-first mindset, and a collaborative approach
* Great communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
