Mechanical Fitter
Rate: £17.63 per hour + holiday pay
Location: CV23 area
Hours: Monday to Friday, normal days
Job Type: 6 month contract
Start Date: ASAP
We’re seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join a forward-thinking team in the CV23 area for an initial 6-month contract with an immediate start available.

Mechanical fitter duties:
* Mechanical and hydraulic assembly and/or end-of-line testing of components
* Using measurement tools like verniers and micrometers for precision inspection
* Supporting quality investigations and contributing to continuous improvement projects
* Navigating basic systems and structured processes effectively
* Managing time and tasks to meet tight deadlines
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards
Mechanical fitter skills required:
* Proven mechanical assembly and/or test skills
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems and quality control processes
* Confidence using standard measurement tools
* Intermediate computer literacy – especially MS Office
* A self-motivated attitude with strong organisational skills
* GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C or above)
* Ideally, a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on experience
