What Will You Do as a Cover Supervisor?
Supervise students during lesson times when the teacher is absent, ensuring a productive learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain focus using effective behaviour management strategies.
Follow lesson plans provided by the teacher and ensure students complete their work.
Provide support to individuals or small groups of students when needed.
Report back to teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with secondary school-aged students, whether as a teaching assistant, cover supervisor, tutor, or in another educational support role.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Flexibility to work across different schools and assignment types.
Reliable, approachable, and confident in leading a classroom.
A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting students’ learning.
