£12.60 an hour
Flexible contracted hours- full time, part time, and nights available, across 7 days a week rota. We are also recruiting for bank staff.
The Service
Bungay House is a homely care home in a converted barn building set just outside Bungay in the village of Broome. We have a CQC rating of good and ambitions to achieve outstanding at our next inspection At Bungay House we provide support to up to 21 people who experience mental health difficulties. We are passionate about supporting and enhancing the quality of life for the people in our service. From theatre trips to impromptu dance sessions in the home, we like to keep ourselves and the people we support busy and fulfilled. You will receive a warm welcome from our positive and dedicated staff team.
The role
As a support worker you will develop positive working relationships with the people you support. Your will uphold the highest standards of care, helping people to stay safe and healthy, encourage their independence and dignity, and ensure they are living the best quality of life possible.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting our people to engage in social activities as well as support interests and hobbies at home and in the community.
* Help our people identify goals and aspirations and help them achieve these
* Support and develop contact with family and friendships.
* Use effective and sensitive communication to encourage independence and personal choice.
* Provide support with personal care and other daily living tasks.
* Assist with attending various appointments as necessary.
* Provide positive behavioural support to help when our people might become distressed.
* Ensure good completion of a range of records related to the support you provide.
* Work flexibly to ensure our people get the support they need when they need it.
