Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
a) General overview of shift and customer experience, ensuring that all food and beverages come out to specification and all customer experiences are pleasant.
b) Compiling lists for orders for fruit & garnishes, alcohol, and milk, if not outright ordering them.
c) Taking charge of the floor & distributing sections where appropriate.
d) Ensuring all prep is done, and ensuring all cocktails are up to spec.
e) Implementing the new steps of service with all staff members.
f) Ensuring all paperwork for the yellow folder is completed and correctly filled out.
g) Ensuring all deep cleaning is done before Friday each week and to a high standard.
h) Keeping areas such as the panty, cleaning cupboards, drawers and storage shelves clean and neatly organised.
i) Closing down, cashing up, and locking up procedures. To also be a key holder.
Bar Staff Job Responsibilities:
a) Preparing and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
b) Using a till to take orders and process payments
c) Checking customers identification and age verification
d) Engaging with customers and advising them about current promotions
e) Maintaining a clean and organised bar area, including quickly responding to spills and other health and safety hazards
f) Monitoring and replenishing stock levels as needed
g) Serving food and snacks
h) Clearing tables, wiping surfaces and operating the dishwasher to ensure ample glassware is available
i) Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
j) Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
k) Plan and present bar menu
l) Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
m) Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Bar Staff Qualifications / Skills:
a) Customer service skills, including being knowledgeable about products to assist customers best
b) Enjoy working with others and be able to cooperate as part of a team
c) Active listening skills and a good memory for remembering different orders from different customers
d) Calm demeanour to deal with demanding customers
e) Attention to detail
f) Ability to carry out basic order processing and payment tasks on a till or a handheld device
g) The ability to work well in a noisy, high-pressure environment
h) Ability to multitask and remain organised during a busy period
i) Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
j) Ability to maintain an extremely sanitary environment while working
k) Communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
a) A background in the hospitality industry is beneficial
b) Previous experience in Bar Staff positions is useful
c) Experience in retail, food service, customer service or catering is helpful
d) High school degree or equivalent not essential but desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
