This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic finance function, supporting efficient financial close processes while helping to shape smarter, more insightful reporting across the business.
What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?
Ownership of payroll and overhead journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Analysis of spend trends and performance versus budget, producing clear and insightful variance commentary
Support for month-end close activities and involvement in internal and external audits
Building, maintaining, and enhancing complex Excel models, dashboards, and automated reporting tools
Driving improvements in reporting efficiency and data accuracy across the Finance function
Training and supporting colleagues within accounting and controllership on Excel best practice
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:
Qualified or part-qualified status (ACCA / CIMA)
Experience in a similar accounting role within a fast-paced environment
Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas and VBA
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
A collaborative mindset with confidence communicating across teams
