Overview
We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker you’ll help people gain more independence in their daily lives while working within a dynamic team in our Fareham residential service. You’ll be involved in teaching new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging local community involvement, socialising and participating in activities. You may spend time out in local bars and pubs, or sharing quiet activities like playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in someone’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence toward their goals.
Responsibilities
* Support people to gain greater independence in daily living and personal care where required.
* Plan and participate in activities to promote life skills, socialise, and engage with local communities.
* Support individuals in attending community and leisure activities and outings.
* Provide compassionate, person-centred support in line with each person’s goals, preferences and plans.
* Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality care in a residential setting.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full UK driving licence is required for this service.
* Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
* Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
* Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
* Some roles may require male or female employees only, where indicated as a Genuine Occupational Requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Shift Details
* Typical shifts: 9:30pm – 7:30am, including weekends on a rota.
* Salary: £12.61 per hour (Fareham).
