Role Overview
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join the County CAMHS Children Looked After and Adoption Team as a specialist social worker covering a maternity leave. The role starts in January 2026 and extends up to a year, with potential for a permanent appointment.
The team is jointly commissioned by Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottinghamshire NHS Trust.
This multidisciplinary team is specifically commissioned to work with children and young people who are looked after and living away from their birth parents, in the care of Nottinghamshire Children’s Services. These children and young people may be living with foster carers or in residential care. The team also offers specialist consultation and support to children/young people who have been adopted, and their families.
The team offers a range of therapeutic interventions, including consultations with professionals supporting the young person, direct assessment and direct work with children, medication reviews, and training for carers and professionals.
Qualifications
* Social work qualified.
* Significant experience within the service area, including post‑qualification experience in statutory childcare social work.
* Experience in home and office working, and within clinics and homes.
