Quantity Surveyor, Central Government, £400 - £450 p/day Inside IR35, 6-Month Temporary Contract Your new company An exciting opportunity is available to join an established Project Delivery Team within a Central Government directorate. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of minor projects across the portfolio. The team manages approximately 120 projects with an annual spend of £200 million and a portfolio value of £1 billion. Your role will involve providing financial and commercial guidance, reviewing processes, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with client practices. Your new role Provide authoritative financial and commercial information for the wider team. Advise on contractual and commercial issues for assigned projects. Review commercial processes and address any non-compliance areas. Assist in producing regular financial reports, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring accounting standards are met. Actively manage risks and maintain risk registers. Evaluate cost impacts of risks and mitigation measures. Manage procurement of framework call-off orders. Ensure consultants and suppliers adhere to contractual obligations. Handle NEC 3&4 Contract Administration, including managing Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs). Control change logs and follow governance procedures for commercial matters. What you'll need to succeed Attention to detail Able to manage a varied and fast-paced workload Qualification in Quantity Surveying Membership in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or other relevant professional body.
