Already working in Telecoms or Fibre and looking for a role that will support you with training that will include sector accredited courses on underground and overhead PIA, NRSWA, etc, as well as internal training on the Gigaclear network, fibre splicing and testing? A starting salary of between £28,000 and £32,000 dependent upon skills, experience, and qualifications / accreditations Reporting to the Operations Manager the Field Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks involved in the Build of the Gigaclear FTTH / FTTP network. Works will include traditional (civils / buried) and PIA PON underground and overhead build methodologies. The Field Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all works meet Gigaclear standards as well as compliance with NRSWA, SROH and the relevant build & fibre specifications. Key Accountability & Responsibilities Delivery of the allocated work programmes, working with stakeholders to deliver on time, safely and to standard Build and delivery of traditional bury and new PIA PON build communities Fibre splicing and testing Responsibility for their own and teams’ assurance across quality and Health & Safety standards Knowledge & Experience Ideally a background in Civils, Fibre and / or Telecoms Builds or Installations Knowledge of Telecoms networks, ideally fibre optic networks (FTTH / FTTP) Or previous experience of installations, fault fix, repair, and maintenance Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and fix network issues Previous knowledge and experience of in the field Civils specifications desirable – eg NRSWA Able to understand, interpret and adhere to risk & method assessments Qualifications & Accreditations Full driving licence (manual), held for 12 months DBS check (or ability to pass) Ideally already hold a NRSWA Operative accreditation Note: All offers of employment will be subject to interview.
