Are you a proactive Volunteer Fundraiser who could support our counselling charity in securing essential funding through grants and other donations? You will be researching funding opportunities, preparing compelling bids, supported by an experienced Trustee and making a real difference.

You will work closely with the team to communicate our impact effectively and align funding applications with our mission and goals.

Essential Skills
* Research Skills – ability to identify suitable grant opportunities from trusts, foundations, and funding bodies.
* Strong Writing & Communication – clear, persuasive writing to produce compelling grant applications, proposals, and impact statements.
* Attention to Detail – ensuring applications meet all criteria, deadlines, and formatting requirements.
* Organisation & Time Management – managing multiple funding deadlines, applications, and follow-ups efficiently.
* Analytical Thinking – understanding funder priorities and aligning them with the charity’s mission and services.
* Relationship Building – developing and maintaining positive connections with grant providers and stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
* Experience in Fundraising or Grant Writing – previous experience (paid or voluntary) in securing funding is a plus.
* Knowledge of the Charity Sector – understanding of challenges in counselling or mental health services.
* Digital Skills – familiarity with online grant databases, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
* Passion for the Cause – a genuine interest in supporting mental health and counselling services.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and identify potential funding opportunities (grants, donors, sponsors).
* Write funding applications and donor communications.
* Help build and maintain relationships with supporters and partners.
* Track and report on fundraising progress.
