An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 24 at North Tyneside General Hospital. We require two Nursing Assistants to join our team. Ward 24 is an innovative and forward‑thinking, 26‑bed Care of the Elderly Ward. We are looking for a candidate who has a commitment to ensuring safe and high‑quality care is delivered to our patients, as well as being a role model and supporting other members of the MDT.
Responsibilities
* Assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high‑quality direct and indirect patient care.
* Provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain high clinical standards.
* Help maintain a clean and safe ward environment.
* Work under the supervision of nurses and the ward manager.
* Work as part of a dynamic nursing team, delivering all aspects of care to patients.
Qualifications & Working Conditions
Excellent communication skills are required. Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential. Posts will be rotational between day and night shift and cover seven days a week.
