Role Summary
The Team Leader (Grade 6) works 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1400‑2200, leading and motivating a production team to meet daily targets and standards.
Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to rules, procedures and standards in managing the team.
* Identify and facilitate ways for team members to develop.
* Deliver team briefings and clearly communicate performance.
* Ensure clear lines of communication.
* Ensure all documents are completed and due diligence/traceability documentation is fully completed.
* Ensure departmental hygiene standards are in line with external and internal audits and requirements.
* Adhere to company colour coding (clothing and equipment policies).
* Continuously improve technical and hygiene standards.
* Ensure compliance with business H&S policies and accurate H&S records.
* Actively participate in departmental risk assessments to eliminate accidents, ensure all accidents are reported and investigated thoroughly, and create a safety‑awareness culture.
* Help the business be environmentally friendly by keeping waste to a minimum and seeking ways to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
* Actively drive reductions in customer complaints performance by focusing on achieving it right the first time.
Essential Qualifications
* Good standards of English and Maths.
* Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
Desirable Qualifications
* Level 3 Food Safety.
* IOSH Managing Safety, Behavioural Safety.
