Overview
Our Convenience Store Managers have full control over their shop. They are accountable leaders who ensure we deliver on our purpose to make good food, joyful, accessible and affordable for everyone, every day. Their team of Customer and Trading Managers run the shifts, and they plan and prepare for upcoming trading activity with a commercial mindset, anticipating issues from today to six months ahead, ensuring everything is safe and legal.
Responsibilities
* Deliver brilliant customer experiences and continuously improve the customer journey.
* Lead an operation with accountabilities for customer, financial and organisational outcomes.
* Role model excellent service and business values through managers and colleagues.
* Use data and insight to inform planning, improve performance and customer experience.
* Navigate employee relations, including dismissals, applying HR policies with consistency and care.
* Lead change, engaging staff on purpose while managing team wellbeing.
* Develop and support leadership capability within the team, helping others step up and succeed.
Qualifications
* Experience managing a fast‑paced operation, delivering results across service, sales and team performance.
* Strong use of insight to make smart decisions that improve store performance and customer experience.
* Confidence navigating employee relations and applying HR policies with care.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team through change, keeping them motivated and focused.
* Ready to walk the talk—showing up every day as a role model for service and values.
