The Crown & Liver is an extremely busy, wet-led pub just off the A55 on the border of Wales, drawing in a strong mix of loyal locals and visitors from nearby villages. With live music, quiz nights, karaoke, live sport and a darts team, it’s a lively, community-focused business that really comes into its own at weekends.
The pub benefits from a good-sized car park and a standout beer garden that’s set up to be a huge draw through the warmer months. Inside, it’s a large, mainly one-room operation that naturally splits into a sports area, a main bar and a lounge space that works well for relaxed drinking and has the flexibility to support dining too.
Currently taking around £14k per week and trading 100% wet-led, the business is already performing well and has clear headroom to grow. There’s fantastic local trade from Ewloe throughout the week, plus regular custom from the nearby industrial park and surrounding area, giving you solid daytime and evening opportunity if you lean into it.
The right partner will build on what’s already working by keeping the entertainment calendar fresh, maximising the sports offer and strengthening ties with local teams and community groups. There’s also real potential to add a simple food offer for the right operator, helping to drive additional spend at key times and unlock further sales growth. We’re looking for somebody who loves being at the heart of a community pub, can run great wet-led occasions, and have the drive to push standards and keep the pub buzzing all week.
