The role sits within our UK LLP finance function, and will have primary responsibility for the preparation of the UK management accounts. Our Team Our Finance team in Leeds is a large team providing centralised support for all the UK offices. We take pride in providing a world class service to the firm's internal and external clients. Our Opportunity Based in Leeds and reporting to the Financial Controller-International (UK LLP), the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the timely production of monthly reporting, including variance analysis, and supporting both internal and statutory consolidations. You will work closely with colleagues across the Management Accounts team to ensure accurate, high-quality reporting is delivered to agreed deadlines. You will oversee the balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation process, reviewing reconciliations and managing follow-ups with account owners as required. The role will also involve accounting for prepayments, accruals, work in progress valuation, fixed assets, creditors and reserves, working collaboratively with Finance and the wider business to ensure accurate and timely accounting. The position will support the annual statutory audit of the UK LLP Group, including planning activity, resolving issues and meeting agreed deadlines. You will also contribute to the UK budgeting process, with a particular focus on cost analysis and identifying trends, and will coordinate the preparation of industry surveys and National Statistics submissions. In addition, you will provide timely and accurate information to the Tax team to support UK LLP income tax and VAT returns, advising on accounting versus tax treatment where required. The role includes daily reporting on key financial metrics, such as cash and fee income, as well as providing wider team support and cover in line with business needs. You You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with essential experience of international and multi-currency consolidation and group accounting. You will bring a strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS/IAS and Companies House requirements, together with a confident and competent approach to systems and technology. You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and will have experience working with general ledger systems in a complex reporting environment. This role requires a hands-on and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and provide support to colleagues as required. You will be comfortable taking ownership of your work while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. You will also be a professional and credible communicator, with strong analytical skills and the ability to influence and engage effectively with senior stakeholders. Well organised and resilient, you will be comfortable working to deadlines and managing competing demands in a fast-paced setting.
