Nursery Assistant - Doncaster

Position: Nursery Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing (with potential long-term/permanent opportunities)
Pay: £88.94 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you
About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will support children in early years settings, helping to create safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically. You will assist with daily routines, learning activities, and care needs, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children at all times.
This opportunity is ideal for a CACHE Level 3 practitioner who is passionate about early years education and looking for flexibility while still making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Support children aged 0-5 with learning and development
* Assist with planning and delivering EYFS-based activities
* Promote independence, communication, and social skills
* Supervise play, meal, and outdoor learning times
* Provide personal care where appropriate
* Use Paediatric First Aid knowledge when required
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
* Work collaboratively with nursery practitioners and room leadersCandidate Requirements
✔ CACHE Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
✔ Paediatric First Aid qualification (essential)
✔ Previous nursery or early years experience
✔ Knowledge of EYFS framework
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
