We are recruiting for a full‑time Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join our dynamic and diverse nursing team within HMP Grampian, a high‑security prison for adult males and females. Part‑time hours may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
* Support clinical staff to deliver routine clinics and care within the Health Centre and, at times, in the Residential Prison Halls.
* Work in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary health team and the Scottish Prison Service.
* Help to provide safe, effective and person‑centred care in an extremely busy, emotionally and physically demanding environment.
Required Experience and Skills
* Experience working within a caring environment.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Interest in developing knowledge of prison nursing.
Shift Pattern and Working Hours
The post is shift‑based, 12‑hour shifts from 0600 to 1830, Monday to Sunday. There is no night shift. Full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week from 1 April 2026, with a proportional increase in the hourly rate so that pay is unaffected.
