Our Role

The Assistant Merchandiser (Allocation & Replenishment) plays a key role in driving sales and optimising stock across stores through effective allocation, replenishment and stock management. Working closely with Merchandising and Retail and Operations teams, this role ensures the right stock is in the right place at the right time, while supporting trade performance and delivering a seamless in-store customer experience.

What you'll be doing

1. Analyse weekly sales, stock and cover by grade and store, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise availability and drive performance.
2. Meet regularly with Merchandising teams to review trade performance, share insights and align on actions.
3. Act as a key point of contact for Area and Store Managers, responding promptly to stock queries and trading feedback.
4. Prioritise the workload of Allocators, ensuring timely and accurate stock distribution.
5. Maintain and refine replenishment strategies to maximise availability while minimising markdown and stock risk.
6. Conduct regular store visits to review stock packages and trading performance, providing clear feedback and actionable recommendations.
7. Collaborate closely with Retail Trading and Operations teams to support key events, launches and promotional activity.
8. Coordinate stock transfers from stores to outlet or back to the Distribution Centre, ensuring smooth execution and optimal stock positioning.

The skills & experience that you’ll need

9. Previous experience in merchandising, allocation or stock management.
10. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
11. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
12. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
13. Confident working cross-functionally in a fast-paced retail environment.
14. Proficient in Excel and merchandising systems.
