We are currently supporting a specialist client focused on electric vehicle powertrain and ancillary technology development and are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join the team and play a key role in the design and delivery of next-generation EV systems. This is a permanent role based in Oxfordshire. Key Responsibilities Design and develop vehicle-level system architecture for EV applications Develop and integrate high and low voltage systems, communication networks, and sensor/actuator interfaces Conduct real-time embedded control software development using MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ Perform safety analysis and design reviews, supporting compliance to ISO26262 where applicable Design and implement test rigs, develop validation protocols, and support vehicle-level testing Perform application calibration and feature sign-off Conduct data logging, analysis, and simulation for control systems verification Document all phases of development, from requirements through to final delivery Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in control system design and embedded software development Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++ (including embedded platforms) Familiarity with CAN, LIN communication protocols and tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe and PEAK Experience with system-level simulation, data analysis, and vehicle diagnostics Proficient in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Visio, and Project To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the UK, unfortunately we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
