CK Group are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist for an organisation based in Maldon, Essex. This role is on a permanent basis.

The Role:
This position will focus on the contribution of procurement for new products and provide expertise from early phase development to end of life, and implement global strategies within product development.
Responsibilities:
* Support of forward sourcing from the preliminary study to the end of life, including: Implementation of forward sourcing activities in the event of technical changes in series production, including RfQ, price negotiation and awarding cost estimation, cost control, cost optimisation in Innovation projects
* Coordination and implementation of inquiries including negotiations
* Supplier awarding with the involvement of category management and consideration of the material group strategy
* Preparation of planning, coordination and optimization of procurement scheduling
* Involvement of suppliers at an early stage to coordinate requirements and exploit their innovation potential
* Support in the implementation of make-or-buy analyses, platform concepts and standardisations
* Maintenance of article-related master data in the ERP system
* Requesting the required material compliance certificates
* Implementation of the start-up management in cooperation with Operation Reporting of forward sourcing activities and KPIs in the project
* Procurement support during end of life phase of products/articles
* Participation in cross-functional supplier selection, development and evaluation
Your Background:
* Degree in relevant discipline
* Experienced in internal sourcing, supply chain or product development
* Knowledge of strategic purchasing
* Willingness to travel
* Strong technical understanding, preferably in mechanical processing
