Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Home Care worker to join our team. This role is vital in providing high-quality care and support to elderly clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in senior care, and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and their families. You will be responsible for updating care plans tailored to each individual's needs while supervising other care workers and training and mentoring. Undertaking care assessments.
Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised home care to senior clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Develop comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of clients.
* Supervise and mentor care workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Communicate regularly with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
* Drive to clients' homes as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes dignity and respect for all clients.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in senior care worker or a related field is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is advantageous.
* Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual client needs.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between client locations so car owner driver essential for role.
