Communications Assistant
Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications for a Communications Assistant to support and develop effective communication across the trust.
Job Summary
The role is central to the Communications Team, providing responsive communication advice, improving engagement across digital platforms, and supporting the transformation of the trust’s external profile.
Main Duties
* Act as the first point of contact for enquiries received via the communications inbox.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage the communications planning grid for key internal and external activities.
* Lead communication for selected clinical and/or corporate services.
* Manage corporate social media channels, creating, scheduling, and monitoring content.
* Develop and issue corporate email communications, including newsletters and alerts.
* Prepare written and digital content for staff intranet and external website.
* Provide content for news items, blogs, and videos in plain English.
* Report on digital communication performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
* Offer administrative and business support to the Communications Team.

Essential Qualifications
* GCSE English Language or equivalent.
* Degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related experience.
* Demonstrable experience in a dedicated communication team/agency or media environment.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience working in the NHS or public sector.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
Essential Experience
* Use of content management systems and web‑writing skills.
* Management of organisational social media channels.
* Familiarity with social‑media scheduling tools.
* Knowledge of website and email marketing analytics.
* Understanding of evaluating and improving engagement across digital channels.

* Co‑ordination with design and print agencies.
* Event or conference support experience.
