Planning Solicitor (2 years') – Edinburgh An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Solicitor to join a highly regarded and growing team based in Edinburgh, advising on some of Scotland's most significant planning and environmental matters. The team works with a broad range of stakeholders across Scotland's planning system, including developers, planning authorities, government departments, landowners and funders. Its work spans across key growth sectors such as renewable energy, residential development, infrastructure, mining and natural resources. You will advise on a wide range of planning and environmental issues, including: Negotiating planning obligation agreements Conducting planning and environmental due diligence for developers and funders Advising on planning appeals, enforcement and compulsory purchase orders Supporting planning and environmental aspects of property and corporate transactions Applicants will ideally have a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, though those at an earlier stage with strong technical knowledge and enthusiasm for this area of law are also encouraged to apply.
