The role
Working closely with the IT Director and external technology partners, youll provide multi-level support across end-user technology, servers, networking and business applications while helping deliver ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Youll also play a key role in maintaining service quality during a period of growth and change.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering 1st line, 2nd line and3rd line support across the business
* Supporting Windows environments, end-user devices and business-critical systems
* Maintaining servers, networking, storage and infrastructure platforms
* Managing monitoring, patching, backups and system health checks
* Supporting cloud and on-premise environments
* Supporting migrations, upgrades and infrastructure deployments
* Assisting with security controls, access management and compliance initiatives
* Supporting virtualised environments using VMware and/or Hyper-V
* Working on change management and continuous improvement activities
* Supporting the transition of new technologies into BAU support
What theyre looking for
Youll probably already have experience in a broad IT support, infrastructure or systems environment and enjoy working across multiple technologies rather than being siloed.
Experience in the following would be valuable:
* Windows Server administration
* Microsoft 365 environments
* VMware and/or Hyper-V
* Intune and SCCM
* DNS, DHCP and networking fundamentals
* Endpoint management and device support
* Active Directory and access control
* ITIL/service-led support environments
* Infrastructure projects, upgrades or migrations
* Security best practice, patching and system monitoring
Most importantly, theyre looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative and genuinely enjoys improving systems and services rather than simply maintaining them.
