Connect it, a growing multi-utility company, is looking to expand its Transport and Support Services Team by recruiting a Fleet and Assets Coordinator.
This role supports the ongoing compliance of our vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment needed for our field-based workforce. The responsibilities include procurement advisement, calibration, and stock management of company assets.
The position is based in our office and warehouse complex in Hedge End, Southampton.
Key Skills
* Adopt a zero-compromise approach to Health & Safety, aligned with legislation and company policy.
* Monitor and manage the timely inspection, calibration, and testing of assets in line with statutory requirements and company policy.
* Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders, informing them of upcoming asset inspections and bookings.
* Track equipment progress with suppliers to ensure efficient completion and return (Calibration).
* Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment on company databases.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of store stock.
* Develop efficient processes and procedures within your area of responsibility.
* Prepare tooling kits for new vehicles and manage stock returns from leavers.
* Stay updated on technological advances in vehicle and plant assets through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
* Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Flexible approach to work.
* High attention to detail.
* Experience with PAT/LOLER testing is preferred.
Additional Information
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
* Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
