The Boeing Company F-22 Mission Systems requires an Experienced Technical Designer with Mission System avionics experience to fill the role as Experienced Electrical Engineer Technical Designer (Electrical/Electronic Systems) for the F-22 Agile Integration Lab (AIL) and 757 Flying Test Bed (FTB) in Berkeley, Missouri.
Eligible candidates will be responsible for understanding 5th Generation fighter capability, mechanism, and functionality, and supporting test planning to decompose capability requirements into successful flight test execution on the 757 FTB.
The successful candidate will work with a multi-faceted group, advocating for collaboration and adaptability. They will verify solutions that are innovative, thorough, practical, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
* Support Test Plan development and IPT activities as assigned by the Test Director.
* Generate updates to the FTB checklist documentation.
* Support Test Director with mission/test planning, pre and post-flight briefings, and asset coordination.
* Perform pre-flight activities, operate simulations and data recording systems, and support flight tests.
* Lead lab test activities following process instructions.
* Maintain training and qualifications for participation as a mission crew member during flight tests.
* Work effectively on a diverse team that partners Boeing with Lockheed Martin and the USAF.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed locations. An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain F22 Special Program Access are required.
Basic Qualifications:
* Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience, or 5 years of related work experience.
* Ability to fly on the 757 flying test bed.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with 5th Generation fighter aircraft flight testing or control room operations.
* Experience with Flying Test Beds during flight operations.
Additional Details:
Position offers relocation based on eligibility. Requires U.S. Citizenship for security clearance and export control compliance. No visa sponsorship available. Shift: 1st shift. Pay range: $63,750 - $86,250. Applications accepted until Jul. 19, 2025.
