SHEA - Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor\n Location: Travel across the South (regional offices in South Brent, Yeovil, Bristol, Leighton Buzzard, Basingstoke, and Watton)\n Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)\n\nOur client is looking for a proactive and experienced SHEA Advisor to join their team, supporting construction-related refurbishment projects within a social housing environment across the South of England.\n\nThis role plays a crucial part in promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture through on-site engagement, support, and delivery of the company's behavioural safety programme. You will work closely with operational teams, driving safety standards, identifying risk, and encouraging best practice.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nConduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external health & safety standards\n\nSupport operational teams with project-specific health & safety planning and documentation\n\nIdentify and manage SHE risks, opportunities, and issues on active projects\n\nAssist with the creation and review of key documentation, including risk assessments, construction phase plans, and environmental impact registers\n\nRespond to and support investigations into incidents including RIDDOR-reportable accidents, lost time incidents, and near misses\n\nPromote clear and effective communication around safety concerns, actions, and improvements\n\nEnsure any updates to SHEQ systems or legislation are implemented effectively\n\nContinuously maintain up-to-date knowledge of SHE legislation and industry best practices\n\nWhat Our Client Offers:\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits\n\nCompany car scheme or car allowance\n\n27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (option to buy/sell additional days)\n\nCompany pension scheme (up to 7.5%)\n\nAccess to a range of employee benefits including healthcare discounts, high street savings, paid volunteering day, and service awards\n\nAbout You:\n\nMinimum 2 years' experience in a health & safety role within construction\n\nNEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (essential)\n\nStrong understanding of H&S legislation and construction industry standards\n\nPrevious experience within the social housing sector is desirable\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\nComfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team\n\nCompetent with digital systems (training will be provided on internal platforms)\n\nFull UK driving licence required, with willingness to travel within the South region\n\nThis is a hybrid role offering the flexibility of home working while ensuring you maintain visibility across key project sites.
