Overview
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. This is a hybrid role with some days working from home or the office and others spent out in the community, covering for your team and working with tenants.
Responsibilities
* Lead our team of Case Managers (currently a team of 2). They work in the local community, managing temporary accommodation across Somerset and building relationships with tenants to help sustain tenancies.
* Provide advice and guidance to the team, support their development and ensure high-quality work.
* Manage caseloads yourself from time to time (e.g., when covering for a team member).
* Contribute to ongoing improvements as the organisation undergoes changes in housing stock, including purchasing, regeneration and development.
What you will need
* Experience leading a team within the Social Housing Sector is essential.
* CIH Level 4 qualification, with a preference for working towards Level 5.
* Strong management skills to support a team and ensure high performance, with the ability to reflect and think creatively to solve problems and motivate people.
* Ability to work in a role that combines community presence with occasional remote work; comfortable in a changing environment.

Other information
* Salary: £14,299 to £16,030 per annum plus a recruitment allowance of £4,700 per annum, payable until 30 September 2027.
* Location: Based in Taunton, Somerset.
* Hours: 18.5 hours per week; permanent – part time position.
* Leave: 28 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays.
* DBS clearance is required for this role, via the online disclosure procedure.
