This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with their emotional wellbeing and mental health needs. The Role: As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs Support students with anxiety, low mood, trauma-related behaviours, and emotional regulation Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams and external professionals Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement in learning The Ideal Candidate: Has experience supporting children or young people with mental health or SEMH needs (school-based or alternative settings) Backgrounds in psychology, youth work, counselling, care, or support work are highly desirable Is patient, empathetic, and resilient Can build positive, trusting relationships with students Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
