Are you a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant looking to grow in a supportive environment? At Thornton, our Senior Care Assistants are vital in delivering high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night. With a dedicated Night Care Manager on-site, you'll never be the most senior person in the home overnight, giving you reassurance and support to focus on providing exceptional care to our residents.
As one of our Senior Care Assistants, you will be responsible for assessing individuals' needs and formulating person-centred care plans, ensuring that medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. Administering medication safely is paramount; all our senior care assistants are provided with additional training to ensure competency and knowledge of the medications used in our homes.
To assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate a high standard of personalized nursing care that meets individuals' needs and the high standards expected at Orchard Care Homes.
To always ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and that their rights to privacy, independence, and choice are upheld.
You will be a team player who will lead, supervise, support, and develop the care team.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, liaising closely with external professionals, individuals, and relatives.
You will have previous care experience within older people's care or a dementia setting. It is a requirement to have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
Thornton Hall & Lodge is a bright, spacious, purpose-built home that specialises in care for older people, with the Hall providing 24-hour residential care for 48 residents, and the Lodge offering additional round-the-clock dementia care for 48 residents.

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour. Nights - Part-time and Full-time shifts available, 22-44 hours per week.
