Responsibilities & Duties
* Provide quotations for customers
* Engage customers face‑to‑face and over the telephone, delivering excellent service and product advice
* Actively promote product sales, using every opportunity to increase sales through up‑selling and gap analysis
* Use the customer relationship management system to manage prospects and existing accounts
* Generate new business with existing and new customers, including cold calling and lead qualification
* Follow up on quotes to secure sales
Qualifications & Skills
* Motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, self‑driven, and positive attitude
* Strong knowledge of building supplies and the retail sector
* Previous sales experience in a builders’ merchant environment (essential)
* Confident, customer‑focused communication skills both verbally and over the telephone
* Proficiency in a CRM system and computer applications
* Ability to build lasting customer relationships
