Now Hiring: AV Technician - Live Events
Location: Newark-on-Trent
Salary: Up to £32,000
About the Role
As an AV Technician, you’ll be involved in the build, setup, and operation of AV equipment for installations and live events across a wide variety of venues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Installing, setting up, and operating AV equipment — audio, lighting, video, rigging, and staging
* Working onsite at events across the UK
* Supporting pre-builds, prep, and kit maintenance
* Assisting with design and planning alongside the projects team
* Learning and operating industry-standard software and equipment
* Helping develop and manage the company’s AV inventory
* Supporting warehouse operations and logistics
What They’re Looking For
* Solid understanding of AV tech — lighting, LED, video control, rigging, staging, etc.
* Comfortable with fault finding and basic repairs
* Good communication skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude
* A team player who also works well independently
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
* GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Full clean UK driving licence
Bonus skills (not essential):
* Experience with MS Office and stock control systems
* Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Vectorworks, etc.)
📍Location & Flexibility
This role is based in Newark involves travel and occasional evening/weekend work. Candidates must live within a commutable distance and be flexible around event schedules.
