Children’s Home Manager – New Start-Up Location: Salford Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE) and £5,000 signing bonus Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (with on-call Monday – Thursday) Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a new and rewarding challenge? We’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate Children’s Home Manager to open and lead a new residential service in Salford, supporting children and young people with complex needs, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and challenging behaviours. The Role: As the Registered Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of this new home. You’ll be responsible for: • Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance. • Supporting a dedicated team with varying staff-to-child ratios (4:1, 3:1, 2:1) tailored to individual needs. • Overseeing the creation and implementation of person-centred care plans. • Creating a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment for all residents. • Taking the lead on OFSTED readiness, safeguarding, and quality assurance. • Managing staff rotas, development, training, and home budgets. About You: We’re looking for someone who is not only experienced but also passionate about making a lasting difference in young lives. • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or a confident Deputy Manager ready to step up. • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or actively working towards it). • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Experience working with young people who display complex needs and high-risk behaviours. • Deep understanding of safeguarding practices and therapeutic approaches. • Calm, resilient, and able to lead by example under pressure.
