Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in private homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and fostering a positive environment for their well-being.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
* Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
* Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with special needs or conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client health to the appropriate personnel.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in home care is preferred.
* Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and medication administration.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.
* A valid driving licence is preferred
