Job summary The TSSU (Sterile Services) department is an enthusiastic team who workin a busy fast paced department. The Sterile Services Department reprocessessurgical instruments for the Trust and surrounding areas. This is a physically demanding role with repetitive tasks. This role involves periods of standing and manual handling duties with some sets weighing up to 13KG.The Trust is not only tackling thewaiting list backlog following the Covid pandemic but has also increased in Trauma procedures at the WRH. There is currently a vacancy for a Sterile Services Supervisor job within the TSSU department. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 12pm-8pm. The department offers a sixmonth on the job training programme. The department is looking to offer a decontamination science qualification in thefuture. Opportunities do arise within the department to progress to potentially a future manager. Main duties of the job The main duties of the role are to organise the day to day running of the shift ensuring work flows through the department and the instruments are processed in a timely manner.
