We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Area Manager to lead cleaning operations across multiple client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple cleaning contracts within the South West area.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple sites.
* Ensure all contracts are delivered to agreed specifications and service levels.
* Conduct regular site audits and inspections to maintain quality standards.
* Recruit, train, and manage cleaning supervisors and operatives.
* Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and support.
* Manage rotas, holiday schedules, and absence reporting.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients within the area.
* Handle queries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly.
* Attend client meetings and provide reports to head office.
* Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
* Maintain health and safety standards across all sites.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in cleaning or facilities management (multi‑site preferred).
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* IT literate (Microsoft Office, scheduling tools).
* Full UK driving licence (preferred) and willingness to travel to sites throughout the South West area.
Desirable Qualifications
* BICS or equivalent cleaning industry certification.
* IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.
